The Rules

Yes, there are rules at a comedy club.

1. Turn your cell phone off or, at least, on silent. Do not, under any circumstance, talk on your phone in the showroom during a performance. If you must, quietly get up and leave the showroom to make or receive a phone call.

2. Keep discussions at your table to a minimum. First, you are interrupting the show for your friends. Secondly, you are disrupting the show for complete strangers who paid to see live comedy. Shut up and let everyone enjoy the professional show.

3. Do not heckle the comedians. They are professionals at what they are doing and, unless they have specifically asked for it, do not need your assistance. Besides, you don't want to become the focus of a viral video where a heckler gets "owned," do you? I didn't think so.

If you do not understand or follow the rules, during a performance, you may be visited by a member of our security team. If he asks you to step out of the showroom, you may get to return to your table before the show is over. If he asks you to step outside, you are on your own and all bets are off.

If you still don't get it, please review the video below.

Darryl Rhoades

Special Guest Brett James

Hosted by TBA

It’s virtually impossible to sum up Rhoades’ diverse and prolific career. He is an entertainer with a history. Since 1988 he has performed over 150 shows annually while touring comedy clubs in the US, Canada and the Caribbean. His wide range of material appeals to audiences from colleges to corporate, from military to casinos, and has garnered rave reviews from the likes of Playboy, The Village Voice and Performance Magazine prompting Rolling Stone/MTV critic Kurt Loder to proclaim him….”one of the most savagely gifted writer/performers in the country today”.

His comedy material has been showcased on national and regionally syndicated radio shows such as John Boy & Billy, Dr. Demento, XM Satellite Comedy Channel and the National Lampoon Radio Hour. His compositions have been recorded by other artists and have been featured in such movies as the 1989 Jim Varney release Fastfood and the Sex Pistols Rockumentary D.O.A. He appeared in the Academy award winning movie, Crazy Heart with Jeff Bridges, Robert Duvall, Maggie Gyllenhaal & Colin Farrell.

As a prolific writer and performer, Rhoades has released eleven comedy/music albums featuring performances from members of groups such as The Georgia Satellites, Winger, The Producers, Jellyfish, The Dregs, The Delbert McClinton Band, The Peabo Bryson Band, Sheryl Crow, The Atlanta Rhythm Section, Sarah McLachlan and many others. Working a remarkable fifty-one weeks a year since 1988, his live show can be best described as very original with strong stand-up comedy featuring a rapid fire delivery and satirical music.
